mounted on /cdrom, but it was automounted on /media/Ubuntu 7.04 i386 (or

I have an Abit AB9 Pro which has an 965 express chipset. I have the same
issue with the installer dropping to the initramfs shell on herd 5
(i386). Herd 4 (i386) on the other hand did boot after 10 minutes bu the
keyboard and mouse (both USB) didnt work.
I tried herd 3 on x86_64 and no go also.

This seems to be fixed in feisty now that it has xorg 7.2... I'm not
getting any more issues since I updated to feisty.

I seem to have the same problem with a Feisty Herd 5 Desktop-CD. I've
got a SATA-HD attached to a Intel ICH5 controller, it is recognized in
Edgy and Dapper without a problem, but Feisty just doesn't "see" the HD,
neither the installer nor gparted show it.

This is actually because the current version doesn't include transmitter
support for mceusb2, but because its not in the source. This was
introduced in CVS (and I believe 0.8.1 has it now). Anything that
supports transmitter is built with it.

I am using wine-0.9.31-0ubuntu1 and I am running on feisty (herd4
upgraded to herd5) I have exactly the same problem. When I type
winecfg after the installation, winecfg takes 100% CPU resources and the
whole computer becomes unresponsive.
