The printing worked for me on Feisty. I could only reproduce the print
problem from evince with files made available by gnomevfs via nautilus,
this is why I filed the bug against gnomevfs rather than evince.

I did a complete re-install and the problem went away, it's working fine
now.
I tried removing Wine and re-installing it and it did not help, but a
format of the HD and a re-install of Herd1 followed by all the
upgrades and it started working like it should.

This is a freshly installed edgy x86 on a Thinkpad T60 core2 duo.
The only way for me to get swap working is to:
1 - launch gparted
2 - right-click on swap partition

The original bug here is that ATAPI drives were not being detected by
libata. That issue was fixed by enabling ATAPI in the libata header.
If people are still having issues, they are need to file separate bug
reports. Most likely it is a case of the PATA/SATA driver not being
present, so include l

testing instructions for that bug's fix, I still have the problem as
long as the dri module is loaded.

Again looking through your grub.con file you can see:
# kopt_2_6=root=/dev/hda1 ro
This is where hda1 is coming from. You want to change hda1 to sda3
here.

I have resolved the problem. The last kernel update appended "acpi=off"
in my grub menu.lst. This disabled acpi and proper poweroff. Deleting
this kernel parameter fixed things.
If there is a bug to address, it is in the scripts that update menu.lst
when a new kernel is installed.

well... ;-/... it works when I reboot now so the issue seems to have
gone away. At this point I think the best thing I can do is do a clean
reinstall and see if the problem happens again and take it from there.
