A similar problem was described in the War§ow forums today[1], however I
don't think that player uses Ubuntu, because of the gnome version
reported. After all, the only visible similarity at this moment is that
he uses some up-to-date programs and the same mouse as I do.

I can confirm that the desktop doesn't gain focus with focus follows

USB1.1, so I decided to use a FireWire PCcard. The desktop CD (herd4)
has no problems to detect the FireWire card and the external disk.

Hi,
I confirm this bug. I own two Mighty Mouse. One USB powered and one
Bluetooth. The USB one ball works nice vertically, but not horizontally.
The second one ball works bad. The balls does not work vertically, and
if i roll left, it scroll down, if i roll right, it scroll up. All in a

Unfortunately this bug is still alive and kickin' in the current 7.04
beta (Feisty).
These disconnections do not usually interfere with network use, but it's
an annoying issue anyway. Is anybody working on fixing this?

Hi Mikael, Ubuntu seems now to boot fine connected to the LAN or otherwise.

Since nobody seems to be thinking about turning gnome-app-install into a
full blown application and not "only" a preferences dialog of the

If the DB user you use to connect to PostgreSQL is missing required
access rights then Glom has some serious issues...
If createdb is missing then Glom fails to create the database (obviously)
Maybe, an even better solution would be to replace "#!/usr/bin/env
python2.4" by "#!/usr/bin/env python" ?

This may be related to the errors people are getting with the sun-
java5-jre package and azureus and other java apps on edgy (dapper works
fine in this area). I have also tested this with sun-java6-jre from
backports and I always get:
