Just to clarify. Sleep doesn't work on the DV5000. Print works, but it
sends control-p so you have to be in an app that uses control p for
printing. Try using the button in Firefox.

think firefox has any java. Nothing shows up in about:plugins for java.

That is correct. I do now see a "254 mmc" line after manually
modprobing mmc_block, but there still is no /dev/mmcblk0 file created.

I attache the glxinfo output, but looks nothing relevant.
I know radeon driver is experimental, but, cannot run xgl on feisty due ATI
propietary does not support composite in last releases (8.33 I think).
So, for now, only AIGLX is possible.
I have tested with live
