better wireless support. When I ran into the same problem. Since
Ubuntu's Grub is a bit rubbish use another version instead!

I have the same problem with kubuntu edgy, impossible to copy a dvd/cd .
To do it you have to manually click on the dvd on the desktop with the
right click and tell kde to unmount the disk, then it works, but this
not really user friendly, k3b should be able to somehow force the
unmount.

You must NOT use cdrwtool to format DVD! It's only for CD-RW media (as the name
implies).
The procedure is this:
1) If you haven't already used a DVD media (it's virgin) then you must format
with: sudo dvd+rw-format /dev/$YOURDVDBURNER
2) Put a udf filesystem into your media with:
sudo mkudffs --

In the latest version of Kubuntu Feisty (Herd 3), there is an
approximate 2 minute delay between the finishing of the start up
procedure, and X starting. During this time, there appears to be no or
minimal hard drive activity. The display is of tty8,
I can confirm that the characters that I attempt to use are indeed not
on my keyboard, or probably any keyboard for that matter. If this is a
technical limitation, then I apologize for the inconvenience. It is only
that autotyping using Keepass (Windows version) works with all
characters.

Hmm. I'm inclined to think this is a network-manager bug. Can you please
attach a full dmesg after a suspend, ps aux | grep ipw3945d after the
suspend, and the output of ifconfig eth1? That should help track down
whether network-manager isn't handling the wakeup properly, or the
kernel isn't suspen

I'm inclined to agree with you Ben, this does seem like a bug in the
userspace tools. Especially since it doesn't appear that anything
changes.
Vincent, can you clarify that to replicate, there must be a fsck on the
next reboot? If you don't force a fsck, does the filesystem remount
alright? Does

Ben, the only time you'll see the "REBOOT LINUX" message is when the
filesystem is already mounted as /, since init is running there and,
well, remounting properly would be tricky I imagine. This is mostly
speculation, but makes sense from the bits of code I just read.

let he rephrase the last comment: no signals seem to be received by
[EMAIL PROTECTED](), even if I unplug/re-plug the wired interface, or
if I disable/re-enable radio on the wireless.

I've switched my theme to a darker one. The panel has also get a darker
colour. The whole panel is using this colour except the Window Selector
applet which uses the a light grey. This way it sticks out from the
panel and the surrounding apple
