I've just removed linux-source-2.6.17 from feisty, since it's superseded
by newer versions (2.6.20). You should not attempt to regenerate its

would have worked just fine, and if you didn't, then you should use

I can confirm this issue in Ubuntu edgy server. When connecting to two
separate host networks, with their own dhcp servers respectively, the
newest registration overwrites the nameserver entry in
/etc/resolve.conf.
To demonstrate, take for example, interfaces eth0 and eth1 which connect
to the two
Do you think that's the same problem than bug #80755 (happening only
when the location entry is displayed)?

Hi Corey :)
Does this still happen with 0.3.6?
If so, does this happen always in the same windows? Or is this aleatory?

ok, i see i must not use mkinitrd, but mkinitramfs does not generate an initrd
image for 2.6.17.
you said you removed the source package. I installed the binary image. and the
initrd image does not get created for it by mkinitramfs
so is feisty ONLY going to work with 2.6.20+ and also the 2.6.1
