printer queue is defined, therefore CUPS should be advised to no

Thanks for building the package for Edgy. I tried it and still had the
same problem. The first reboot came up fine, but upon the second I got
the black screen and had to bounce the machine a few times after that
before it would start X.

I downloaded the herd3 Kubuntu feisty-desktop-i386.iso and tried it as a
Live CD (not the installation). The bug is fixed. It boots up and goes
right to the KDE desktop without any intervention (no safe graphics mode
necessary, no boot parameters, no editing the xorg.conf). My BIOS is

The problem is in the via x11 driver, not Google Earth. This is why no
complex 3D application works on the VIA Unichrome. Have also tried Beryl
on it and got an error related to the driver of not supporting dual
extensions.

When you check you mail from exchange and your mailbox is very big, it
takes ages to sync your mail. Exchange looks asif it dies and if you
click around in it, it looks like it has stopped responding.

If you have a folder on exchange with subfolders containing emails and
you move it to a local folder. It looses some of the subfolders and
mail.

The script magic you propose for prerm should work well as-is.
For postinst, what I would use:
lpadmin -p PDF -E -v cups-pdf:/ -m PostscriptColor.ppd -o
PageSize=$(paperconf) -o printer-is-shared=no
paperconf(1) from libpaper-utils (added to Depends) tells us the default
paper size.

I just installed for the first time seahorse under ubuntu edgy. The
seahorse version is 0.9.7-0ubuntu1~edgy1.
There is no application associated with the extension pgp. One thing is
weird: the "Encrypt ... "- and "Sign"-item in the nautilus drop-down
menu does not exist for files
