When attempting to load speakup with one of the synthesizer drivers, I
get this output from dmesg, followed by what seems to look like an oops.
I think this can even be reproduced without the necessary hardware.

applet lists available networks, but does not try to connect to any of

I am having the same problems.
When I attach my Canon Ixus to an USB port, the import dialog pops up but after
choosing to import the images, nothing is happening.
I am not sure if this is a problem with gthumb or gnome-volume-manager-

If the Feisty package requires an upgrade of libc6 on Edgy, I would not
recommend to use it. Try rather to recompile your own Edgy version, it's

totem-gstreamer or totem-xine? Nautilus is supposed to try to thumbnail

To test a bit more after I upgraded today again Feisty I started to
reinstall Calisto and Webtools via termninal without sudo. And I got the

Could you, if possible, test OpenSuse 10.2? If you could confirm that
OpenSuse 10.2 isn't making a strange shutdown noise we would be 1 step
closer to a solution.

Colin, your workaround was uploaded to Feisty in apport 0.47. I did a
proper fix in bzr head, will be uploaded after herd-3.

g-a-i should do a delayed search. That is, it should not start search
while you still type. Is this not the case for you?

Thank you for your bug. The encoding of your file is not correct.
Extracting on feisty works fine, then you can rename it to give it a
correctly encoded filename. Marking the bug rejected, the problem comes
from the filename not from the application

That bug is not clear, would you expect to have an extra "Settings"
category? The right fix would probably to update the .desktop you listed

Does OpenSuse have a net-install or something minimal I can test without
downloading a full CD? I think it's a question of which disk drivers are
being used, ide-generic, libata or whatever they are called.
