No. It is not. I just checked the files in Debian's package pool and
they support my bug report.
Now, it is quite easy to deduce that the bug was not fixed upstream: the
version numbering is identical, therefore the package entered Universe

Since we run ldm and not gdm in LTSP and gnome session gets the info
about logout and reboot from gdm directly, LTSP has no problems with
these two functions. For gnome power manager a two line patch was added
to prevent the options for suspend/hibernate to be shown:

Not necessarily. It is just just another condition that should be
checked before the options are converted. The current script converts to
UUIDs unconditionally afaict.
So far there are
- duplicate UUIDs
- kernels without initrd
The script should also warn when there is UUID already and one

Hi,
I am still new to ubuntu but am a network person so am trying to use a much

I initially use the networking to configure everything like ssid, password
and ip address etc
If I use dhcp and then check with iwconfig it does associate, however if I
change the ip address to static

No, my file of bash specific start up commands is in /etc/bash.bashrc
which is sourced from /etc/profile
You cannot put the hash bang at the top of a sourced file.
I do not think I am alone in having bash specific stuff in these files

This happened after upgrading to dapper, if I remember correctly, but a fresh
dapper install fixed it and it never happened again since then (I used edgy and
now I'm on feisty).
This bug can be closed.
