To reproduce, run the herd 2 desktop installer in Qemu with the -std-vga
option (it fails without that option too, but differently). The
installer switches to text mode (without clearing video ram). Note:
doing CTRL-ALT-F1, CTRL-ALT-F7 fixes the screen corruption.

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.20-5-server
Hello
We are running ubuntu dapper with a feisty kernel 2.6.20-5 because the default
dapper kernel doesn't support our hardware:
- Dell 1955 bi dual-core 3ghz , 8Go ram
- XFS filesystem
- 2Go of swap
This server is running
right, not a bash bug, bash_completion is not made to be loaded by dash

Thank you for your bug. What do you call "associate" for the card? You
mentioned having the same problem using "iwconfig", how do you use it?
If that happens from the command line that's not a gnome-system-tools
bug
** Changed in: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu)

I now suspect this problem is not in Firefox after all, as it is now
sometimes taking the whole system down rather than just Firefox (a
common pattern is for X to suddenly restart for no apparent reason, get
as far as logging in then restart again, and keep repeating this until X
decides something
How can we access these packages for test through a test repositry for Edgy ?
