I had the same problem several times. FF2 randomly crashes frequently.
(NB. The CrashCounter shows 1 crash, but it's because i've reset it to
really focus on this crash.

You know I just did an aptitude install ubuntu-minimal (instead of just
doing a dpkg -L) to see if it was installed, and gnome-app-install went
through fine. Which is odd since it has failed at least 5 times today (I
update/install a lot :) )

This mostly occur after I forced close some app that is running over DGA
with ALT+SysRq+K (yes closing even the X server). After that as I report
the X server many times don't exit cleanly. I will investigate more, and
i appreciate some kind of feedback.

Internet Service Provider (?), that would be earthlink and I guess you'd

I have tested this now with up-to-date Feisty and previous version of
python-dbus (0.71-3ubuntu1) and I can not reproduce the problem. Memory
usage stays flat at 20 MB.
This means that the problem was caused by python-dbus 0.80.1-1 (aka

Well I have the same problem here, using Kubuntu 6.10 with KDE 3.5.6.
Usplash show for a fraction of a second and then dissapears and the
screen goes black.
I have the "TerminateServer=True" line in my kdmrc file (to solve a
problem with logout related to ATI fglrx drivers) and usplash still
doesn

I can confirm this bug in an Edgy machine with amule 2.1.3
The problem may be that amule is creating the files as iso, instead of
utf-8.
I'll try to talk to the amule developers to see if this is the problem,
and how to solve it.

I just installed herd 2, and installed network manager and updated at
the same time. I had the same problem
"gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor/" fixed the issue.
