Okay I just tested another compilation of Beta 6 and it does it for me
from that too.. So either it's local configuration (not the dot files,
tried with and without in home dir), or some type of upstream bug, but
the fact that no one has confirmed it and everyone on IRC says it works

Workaround found by adding hdg=noprobe. I believe hdg might be the SATA
drive containing windows. Without the hdg=noprobe, I cannot get any
information from this drive at all - gparted hangs while trying to list
devices, and fdisk -l /dev/hdg just blinks a cursor at me. Perhaps this
is not a bug

is also suitable for the travelmate-8100 series.
I also un-commented the Wireless On/Off keys in this file. Why are they
commented out? It is very useful to be able to map the "wireless on"
button to something like "kdesu ifup wlan0"

The same thing happened to me yesterday. After doing the following
steps, my home folder was wiped clean. On my system this is
reproduceable every time:
1) Start gnome-control-center (System>Control Centre)
2) Right-click on an icon -it doesn't matter which one, you can choose
"SCIM Input Method

I did not quite understand your post - cdrom drives are managed by
libata in the newer kernels and do not appear as hdX anymore but as sdX
now. Furthermore I would bet support for the cdrom filesystem iso9660 is
build in the kernel and NOT as a module.

More information. The same error occurs with the other locales I've
tried, including en_US.UTF-8, fr_FR.UTF-8, etc.
If this is a locale definition problem, one wouldn't be surprising to
see the same thing in all locales since LC_COLLATE is defined via a
common file: /usr/share/i18n/locales/iso14

I'm not exactly sure myself. I would think that it shows the tracks
most recently added to the collection, along with the first time that
they were played. That may be wrong.
The patch was committed upstream, so the wording change will be in
effect when Amarok 1.4.5 is released.
