Yes. Buttons are not the issue here however.
What is currently impossible is the ability to have TWO input boxes --
one for Logon and one for Password on the screen simultaneously.
If we push this upstream, we might get results.

I can confirm this: By modifying /etc/environment to use en_CA.UTF-8 as
the locale, I get the -dd-mm date behavior in Evolution.
Funnily enough, I get the correct date behavior (-mm-dd) if I set
locale to en_US.UTF-8.

Problem has been tracked down to using a Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter.
If this device in connected, the system will not boot. It hangs in the
network stage of the boot. Removing the device and the system boots
fine. The system does not boot with Edgy either.

Just a thought: Wouldn't the debdiff be /much/ clearer if you just
removed "include /usr/share/cdbs/1/rules/simple-patchsys.mk" from
debian/rules? It's pretty obvious what the semantics of that change
would be, and its diffstat would be much more suitable.
