I just tried an install with an iso downloaded by torrent this morning.
Same problem with no kernel found. In Console F4, I saw endless probing
and not found. I'm not sure what it was looking for, but it was Intel
ISA PCIC probe: then numbers. I watched up to 1000 and it always
said not foun

works except that I can not change window fucus. But since I can now
enter things into a terminal I can then restart openbox (using 'openbox

Yikes! Those packages are a *prerelease* 0.2.14 version -- the code is
buggy and I don't recommend installing them.
Kevin, can you please take those packages down or update them to the
official 0.2.14 release?

Seems similar to bug #48408 and #63112 but those were not solved?
I can reproduce the bug (not always though):
In Nautilus > Go > Network > Select one of the samba drives on another machine
> unfold (!) to a folder (a couple of levels deep) > do
This may not be desirable for users with laptops (like myself) as we
would have to disable it every time we login if our passwords contain
any of the letters that also function as numbers.
Maybe an option during installation would be more suitable, with a
suitable tooltip/warning for laptop users.
The icon theme should probably be packaged and not forced to the gaim
package

Try the Option "MonitorLayout" "LVDS,AUTO" thing mentioned before in
this thread. Add it to the device section in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf
That worked for me and my mobility radeon X700.
