Had the same problem with my Logitech MX 5000. See Bug Report 67312.
Only way to get the keyboard & mouse to work is by booting into recovery, start
up Adept & remove the bluez packages. You won't have any bluetooth conductivity
but your MX 5000 will work.

I was just trying to install the "octplot" package for Ubuntu 6.10.
Turns out it depends on libhdf5-serial-1.6.4-0c2 or libhdf5-1.6.4-0c2,
neither of which can be installed from the standard repositories (I've

Marked as rejected owing to comments re this being a hardware problem.
Thought about "fix released", since original report seemed to imply a

0.5GB). swap space can be used for hibernation - would it be possible

I'm getting the same behaviour, too. In fact, I've been getting crashes
lately in many different situations, i.e. upon failed MSN login, window
closure or completely random. However, this crash report refers to a
crash occured after an unsuccesful MSN connection.
OS: Edgy eft fully updated on Fuji
That is ok, I just reported it for the developers to see, so if they got
plenty of random non-reproducable crashes in firefox they might be
interested in where it happens. Since firefox is updated since then I
believe that the bug either is fixed or got into stealth because of
changed dependencies

All russian-speaking users set one-byte-encoding of oscar to cp1251 for
compatibility reasons. And broken encoding looks exactly like UTF-8
string treated as cp1251 and converted to UTF-8.

It seems like the crash wouldn't happen on the open source driver
anymore? Test with Ubuntu 6.10, too. Problems with fglrx are not related
to this bug report, ATI's closed drivers are known to have numerous
problems with suspend and terminal changing.

Again, I confirmed the MD5SUM several times.

There are better described bug reports available on similar subjects,
and on the other hand "after i have installed ati driver" sounds like

Damn, I guess I shouldn't have started with +-0... now it's impossible
to get a +3, since we're only 4 members of motu-sru :/.
@ville: can you give a diff of the filelists (dpkg -c olddeb vs. dpkg -c
newdeb)? If we don't have file-conflicts between that and a cards-
package? Then I'll reconsider.
Deleting msn accounts and adding again solved my problem.

I'm using bookmarks in Yelp to link to several manuals I look up things
frequently with (eg. one being the DocBook Book).
0. Open a Yelp window
1. Make sure you have a bookmark in your bookmarks menu
2. Close all Yelp windows

Daniel, bad news : seems to occurs every time since the python update.
There is another startup problem (with update-manager) which seems to be
caused by python 2.5 transition. Maybe the original bug + a bug caused
by python update are occurring simultaneously ?
