More specifically, a bug in the faad decodeing plugin:
Core was generated by `/usr/lib/totem/totem-mozilla-viewer --xid 44066859

Why do you think that the cache was not upgraded? It might just have
been a corruption for a random reason during the previous generation of
the cache

Hi,
I'm using various laptops with Kubuntu Edgy, some set to use French
Canadian and others set to use Spanish. On all these systems, I can
observe that some particular and rare parts of KDE menus or dialogs are
still in English. I don't think
the 'X' close window icon on the title bar of applications provided by
the window manager (metacity in this case, on the top right of my
windows) although using the actions icon on the top left of the windows
title bar and selecting close doesnt stop the gnome-control-center
process either.

There's little point in forwarding upstream.
AFAIK, it is not possible to 100% reliably determine the correct ttyUSB device,
so the visor/ttyUSB support in gnome-pilot is not going to improve (ie. upstream
would be WONTFIX).
The correct roadmap seems to be to move to using direct libusb support.
The command
xset fp rehash
seems to fix this problem.

Thank you for your bug. Opening an upstream bug would be nice, they know
the code better and would probably have some idea on the problem. The
desktop team has lot to do and that configuration is not a standard one,
it's likely that nobody from Ubuntu will look at that bug soon
