I am currently finding that the gnome NetworkManager Applet tells me I
have "No network connection" even when I am connected. The network
connection is a Marvell Yukon gigabit ethernet which uses the sk98lin
driver.
I have only just started getting this problem so it might be
I just installed the latest batch of updates in Feisty and I got bit by
this bug :) To confirm the package that was causing the problems, I
copied all the DEBs that had just installed in the latest round from
/var/cache/apt/archives and manually reinstalled them until I got to the
one that broke X
Here is one of the kernel configs in which the fault has occurred. As I
said, that kernel was built from the edgy-patched 2.6.17 sources
(despite the confusing file name).

There's still no solution for this. This drives me crazy, because I

Completely groundless guess due to the fact that there's no attached
file where clearly there was meant to be one...
The backtrace, as is usual for (number plucked out of thin air) 99% of
"gxine bugs" reported here, points somewhere in libxine1.so, which means
that this is in fact a xine-lib bug.
I think this but may be related the the JavaScript on the page. my browser
also crashed on this page. Try running it with the NoScript extension
installed, does that help?

when I tried Marc`s patch for edgy, I stumbled across a major security issue.
When usplash exits early (as it does for example on a fsck on my machine) the
entered password is echoed plain text on the console. So I think it`s not such
a good idea to attach to a console when usplash is runni

This problem occurred when I played a dvd, self made dvd-r with 4 hours
