Currently using Edgy with xen. Came across a lock up on my monitor. Upon

First off, "Can't open default user face" is because the default faces are

I too get this odd description. It seems to originate from

I don't think so. Evolution is doing something very bad (perhaps
recursing into the directories madly) -- mutt doesn't lock up or die

There really is no real X maintainer for xf86-video-via. It was once
sanctioned that openchrome was in charge of that, and that i, being the
author of most of the code there too, as such, was not to be involved.

With the kernel 2.6.20-2 or -3 GDM gets stuck at login, i.e., it freezes after

i encountered the same problem. I installed unison-gtk via Synaptic.
Local syncing works, but remote syncing fails, because unison-gtk on
"source" machine wants to call unison on "target", not unison-gtk.
Manually installing unison with apt-get helps, of course, but it takes a
while to figure that
