The requisite changes against Edgy's linux-source/alsa-driver are fairly
invasive, so it's not likely the changes will appear in Edgy
(-updates/-security).
On the other hand, you may compile alsa-driver 1.0.14rc1 from http://www

I am booting with the splash screen disabled so that I can see all the
messages.

there was no change after reinstalling it. - I even went so far to
delete the configuration but nothing happened.
but i found that if i start amarok before Iactivate beryl the systray
icon is often at the wrong place too. And if I then start Beryl the icon
has a own window with minimize and close
Thought I'd drop by to let you know: after resetting my Gnome
configuration to defaults this problem has been fixed.
Presumably it's a custom configuration that wasn't an issue in Dapper,
but is in Edgy.

I have experienced the same issue with the HP Media Center PC m7674n
that was just purchased. Wanted to upgrade to Ubuntu Edgy and wasn't
able to as there was no response from the PS/2 keyboard and mouse.
Extra/backup USB mouse works but only have PS/2 keyboards... Disabled

The file is part of the DVD backup. I don't know it's original size but
it was part 1 of 2 so it is likely close to 4Gb. If you could tell me

sudo addgroup nvram solves the problem! Now there is another one with

I have a Gentoo system running Gnome 2.16. PDFs generated from my Edgy
machine do not work in Evince on either machine. However if I make the
PDF on my Gentoo machine the PDF works on both machines.
I think we're looking at a cups-pdf or cups bug, not an evince bug. I'm

Installed Edgy on an old Compaq 712AU for testing.. yes it is very
annoying. It kept on opening Evoloution mail when I tried to tap the pad
to open Firefox. And the cursor moves too fast.

I had a similar problem with this package, I contacted upstream and they
said they were working on it, the most annoying thing i found was that
the colours persisted after uninstallation, to solve I had to remove the
~/.gtkrc file (or something like that) which made it all better...
