The attached one-line sed script can be used either to fix fstab generated
by Ubuntu/Kubuntu installer or it can be distributed as a patch for the
affected Ubuntu/Kubuntu versions that turn on the fsck check for fat/msdos
partitions. For example, for versions 6.06 and 6.10.

change this; low level command line tools like fdisk are the sort of
thing that are depended upon by other applications so there is a lot of
resistence to changing their output.

adding vga=791 in grub's menu.lst options makes the splash visible.
It still seems to be shifted towards the top of the screen.

Evolution will not delete certain folders, claiming the
BugBuddy reports that the debug trace is no good. I'm new to ubuntu. how
do I add the debug in. It crashes every time on startup. So does the
entire openoffice suite. There are some other programs that also crash
on startup.

graphic controller. When I boot with the splash screen, the colors of
the splash screen is off as if I was running in 16 colors. This is
