I have mldonkey 2.8.1-1, and it does not start on the boot process (it's
configured to do so), but if I manually start it once logged in, it
works. I don't know why that's happen.

I'm not surprised, it's working for me too but 1.7.2 is not the versions in
dapper or edgy. The gnumeric version in dapper or in edgy are not good and it's
a problem with the package because when I compiled them myself with the archive
from gnumeric website, eveyrthing is working (version 1.7.0

Thanks. Although this works for _some_ results, it's not a real
solution, because:
1. Firefox opens an empty tab for each attempt to load an email from
Beagle search
2. Some results just show up a blank message window with no content
Need a better/real fix.

That's true also for Xubuntu 6.10. But I disagree with the original
suggestions, time-admin must be able to synchronize with ntp servers
without need of server being installed, like using "ntpdate
ntp.server.com".

This happens in beryl also. changing the theme in beryl using emerald
fixes this. Corey does changing the theme in compiz also "fix" this? I
use the word fix very loosely as its not a fix but rather ignoring it.

(can't really take a picture as it is so dark to be almost invisible).

I´d also like the solution above, so that firefox just uses gconf and the
settings GUI also updates gconf. This could be applied to kde programs under
ubuntu (with gnome) as well. Perhaps the user should be informed that this
change will also be applied to the other desktop environment if instal

My system is always in "passive" mode (I can't change this) and I think
it puts the IPW card in powersave mode automatically. After that, the
card stops working and trying to reload the module that error messages
appear in dmesg.

It happened again, but this time on an other computer: my laptop.
This time, I wasn't closing all my connections quickly, so this doesn't
