I got the source, applied the debdiff and built the whole thing.
After installing either all the resulting deb-packets or only the

I'm also using nVidia drivers.
I've since installed 1.5 and everything is working perfectly, including
better stability than the Dapper package.

I checked Asus's site for bios updates and I appear to have the latest
bios update "1013" installed. They do have a beta bios version
"1014.002", but I am not sure if it is safe or not to install that.

I am not sure if anything differs between 6.06.1 or 6.10's dmidecode
output, so, I ran it in both versions. This attachment is the output of
"dmidecode" in Ubuntu 6.10 after booting with "noapic" as a kernel boot
option.

might be saying BS here, but I seem to remember a Via chipset being
supported by the Intel driver. So maybe the bug is in that particular

Might be a similar problem for me. No network after a clean install of
edgy on my Thinkpad T40. There was no problem with all other previous
releases of ubuntu. I fixed the problem doing that :
1- Comment every lines in /etc/network/interfaces (except thoses related to the
loopback interface)
2-
Update on hardware: My graphics card is an Nvidia 5500 with 128MB. Setup
is the same otherwise. Has anyone looked at this bug yet? What would
push it out of "Unconfirmed" state?
