Some additional data.
Changing the theme from "ubuntu" to "standard" in gconf (/apps
/notification-daemon/theme) has no effect. So it seems to be not theme
releated.
The crash is actually a Gtk-Crtitical warning that causes the daemon to
fail. I did a upload to disable this for now to avoid too m

After upgrading from Breezy to Dapper, I cannot boot with new installed
kernel. It locks after "Waiting for root" message. It seems, that serial
ATA is not compiled in kernel, but is placed into a module (?). With
older Breezy's kernel (2.6.12) it boots perfectly.

Another piece of information: When I create the .gz file using Nautilus
in gnome it works. Only get a seg fault when using the command line or

I'll need to reboot with the offending kernel to get a lsmod (meaning
i'd need to backup my stuff first. i don't want to loose data ;-))
This is the lsmod that I get with the dapper kernel. The difference was
the other one had "sg" driver as well as other scsi-related stuff...

I tried the compiz repository, and while it seems to fix the problems,
it also seems to come with a high cost - graphics acceleration is cut in
half, according to glxgears. Has anyone else noticed this?

to be borked.

No longer an issue on Edgy (i.e. it points to 610 which doesn't exist

Which option did you choose atinstallation ? When i use "apt-get install
bugzilla", I have to options : manual and latter.
Manual ask me lot of questions (user name, database name, etc.) and
later does nothing more than telling me to dpkg-reconfigure bugzilla

syntax to set the username; and brings up a message:
