I just noticed the problem...

Unfortunately no mention of space required was made during install (that
i saw), and it appeared not to check available space before installing.

I must admit changing the stock-icons setting in the end didn't work for
me. What did work, was changing the fontname (as described in the
bugreport) in the source and then compiling it.
I couldn't do without SciTE, so I'm really glad it works now!

that with some computers. Luckily though, it's still running (in almost
all cases)... wait about 30 minutes just so you can be sure it's

the latest upgrade of apt (0.6.44.2ubuntu4), aptitude (0.4.1-1.1ubuntu2) and

A helpful explanation of how EDS stores calendars on the Opened Hand
bugzilla prompted me to save the calendar as an ics file in Evo and open
it with Mozilla Sunbird on another box. I got the same result as with
Evolution, so it would appear that the problem lies with icalx.com not
Evo.

My problem was that this was happening with all kernels that I tried
(386, 686, etc), and fixing it required hackish modification of the _PPC
frequency limiting code, to stop it from incorrectly limiting. It
appears that this bug is now gone as of 2.6.17-2 in Edgy, but I can't

Now network-manager refuses to start up. This started happening after
the latest kernel update, but could be a case of post hoc reasoning.
According to strace output (which I'll attach), it constantly polls some

Binary package hint: gkdial
GkDial works well except the status never switches to connected. The
ppp connection is up and networking is active, but GkDial still show
"Dialing..." and Input/Output bytes shows 0.
The device used is /dev/modem and I see the archive /var/lock/L
Use "MimeType=application/pgp-encrypted;application/pgp;" in the desktop
file of the descript application "/usr/share/applications/seahorse-pgp-
encrypted.desktop".

Just to add to this, it appears that this only occurs if you do not have
a password initially set for gnome-keyring.
I ran /usr/lib/gnome-keyring/gnome-keyring-ask -d from a terminal. Set
my password and attempted to connect to a network using nm-applet. No
problems this time.

I left the GNOME bug open because it is a valid feature enhancement
request for an improved recurrence rule dialogue. Has been confirmed
already.
It is not really an upstream version of this bug report, more of an idea
that came out of tracking down what the actual problem was. I was
