the other is a amd athlon xp 2100+ 768mb ddr ram & the ati 9600se 128mb

Kubuntu Dapper 6.06 here. Updated from 5.10 via network. Latest updates
installed. I have this bug now: it happens randomly. Didn't happen with
5.10 .

I don't know how you understand that comment but it's only pointing
that's not something we are probably not likely to work on soon because
it's not a detail and we many things to do. If informations are hurting
you we can just ignore the bug until it gets worked next time

This bug couses not working resuming in Baltix GNU/Linux distro, so it
should be fixed ASAP in Baltix, at least by adding "dpkg-reconfigure
initramfs-tools" in ubuntu-express installer in Baltix 1.4 version. Then
I should assign this bug to Baltix "dapper" branch.

I have the same problem. I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.4 and this alerts
doesn't disappear when I remove my plugins. I tried to debug how you
discriped but I wasn't able to get it crash during the debugger was
running.
Starting firefox as root doesn't work as well.
It tells me staring firefox without -H

Installed ACPI 0.85, rebooted with ACPI=force, problem described when
attaching syslog and kern.log persists: Attempt to suspend, machine
"goes away", have to remove battery and unplug to be able to reboot.
Will attach new logs.

When I use the update manager gksu fades the desktop and presents a
modal window which captures all keyboard input. If one pressees the
'menu' button on a 'windows style' keyboard at least openoffice.org2 and
gedit will receive keypresses behind the faded desktop and the right
pmount appears to just be following the information given by
(presumably) hal about the device. So pmount is not at fault here, it
is being told by other parts of the system that the drive is not
removable.

savedefault option is used. The update-grub command does not auto-create
the file if it is missing but always adds option "savedefault" to the
