I have the same card, same driver, and same issue with network manager.
My work around has always been with editing /etc/network/interfaces.
Even if I select my wide open network with the NM it still doesn't
connect. I have other cards, and it works just fine with them. I am
running Ubuntu 6.06LTS

OK I am seeing the problem again too but the cause might be different.
The above proxy log contains one or two hits (meta-release,
libgnomeprint, pcmcia-cs) but a lot of misses. All misses bring up "The

Finally got the back off my laptop and proved wireless works with 1GB of
ram (ok, it can see base stations, but configuring wpa-supplicant for
WPA-TKIP is the next challenge!). Have moved firmware files out of the
way to stop lockup at bootup ( /lib/firmware/bcm* ).

The problems seem to persist with the new cups 1.2.1. package
Here is what I have done:
1. deleted all printers
2. installed cups 1.2.1. using apt-get update / upgrade
3. installed the network-printer manually using gnome-cups-manager and the
recommended postscript-driver
4. changed the options
I have a similar problem with my ATI X800XT card. If I connect my TFT to
the analog Output of the graphic card everything is fine apart of wrong
colors. Well this can be corrected, but is not necessary using the DVI
Output of the card. I tried also to change the graphic settings so that

Hi,
Launching OOo or trying to open OOo files on a terminal server client
(or FreeNX client) does not work the right way : the document is opened
on the server side instead of the client screen. Using another program
like Abiword is OK, so it looks like an OOo bug.

This bug is now several Ubuntu releases old. Can we please be less proud
and more pragmatic, and include a workaround (as ugly as needed) to have
