Attracting more users is one benifit of adding Baidu, NOT a criterion
used when picking search plugins.
IMHO, although Baidu is evil, it is useful when searching Chinese
content, and sometime even produces better result than Google does.
So, I prefer adding Baidu to the list while making Go
Use google to search "baidu 假药"; would you use baidu to search these

@yibo mentioned the meaning of "ubuntu": it actually means "humanity towards
others" in English, or simply "仁" in Chinese. "Others" here does not exclude
people/companies you don't like.
Anyway, Ubuntu is not just released for CS guys to use. Ordinary PC users
tend to use Baidu a lot (though Linux

I would have assumed that the point of this bug was to add the search
engine to the list, not make it the default? (Especially not on lucid

Hi, I am a Ubuntu user in China.
I am strongly against that set Baidu as default search engine.
Baidu is evil as well as less effective&efficient.

Add search plugin for Baidu

IMO. Any none-newbie Linux users would deny baidu as default search
engine.
Why baidu is not acceptable? For few reasons listed below,
1. It is EVIL. must see the followings.
2. Nearly everything it do are EVIL. It have all google products/relative
