Alrighty, thanks for the post back . . . it isn't an insurmountable problem
enough to warrant a fresh install . . . on what is a "developmental distro"
. . . . It's now updated to LXQT "latest edition" . . . still a tad
"irritating" to get an error window when trying to open the Home direct
