Hi all. I haven't gotten to test for crashes again.
I just upgraded to Gutsy though (got my CDs in the mail), so I may not
be able to continue with this bug either way.
Should I test under Gutsy?

I have no crash on Gutsy, it works fine even with huge directories.
Is the crash specific to a directory or can you reproduce it with a lot of huge
directories?

Ok, I correct my command lines.
The form that was giving me trouble:
tar -cf - directory | 7z a -si -v5m archive.tar.7z
The form that I changed to:
tar -cf - directory | 7z a -si -tbzip2 -v5m proj.tar.7z
Of course, trying it now on a small folder didn't produce a crash in
either of them. It mu

I think I am asleep... I have an "Incorrect command line" from 7z on Gutsy and
on Feisty. with
"tar -cf - directory | 7z a > archive.tar.7z" :s
But "tar -cf - directory" works fine.

Hi, this is was I was doing to generate a crash:
tar -cf - directory | 7z a -si > archive.tar.7z
I can get around this by doing:
tar -cf - directory | 7z a -si -m=bzip2 > archive.tar.7z
I'm using Feisty and the latest update version of p7zip in Feisty.
