I am getting the same problem in both planetpenguin-racer and stellarium (another OpenGL application). I am using an ATI Radeon RV250 If [Radeon 9000] on one machine and an RV280 [Radeon 9200] on another which also shows this problem. Maybe the bug should be reported against the radeon video driver

I was checking my X server configuration for Feisty with the command, dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg . When I got to the modules part "type1" was missing (I've seen "type1" in other versons). Is the module "type1" needed for ppracer to render fonts? -- planetpenguin-racer does not show text http
