In my case, apparmor isn't even installed, so it can't be removed.

For Ubuntu 12.04 and mysql-server-5.5
My 'work-around' was to replace mysql-server-5.5.postinst in
/var/lib/dpkg/infor with the file of the same name from the SOURCE
distribution ( was in mysql-5.5-5.5.22/debian/ )
Then the 'apt-get install mysql-server' ran successfully
