This hourly unscheduled backup bug suddenly started occuring to me. The
behavior began Dec 23 2008, and after a number of hourly unscheduled
backups the behavior became worse (a backup once and hour, then yet
another 5 minutes later; same cycle repeated an hour later). That being
so I've discontinu
At least the originally reported behaviour still occurs with 8.04 and in
8.10 it is still the same version.

Ja, same happens here on my new hardy-release, still using KDE 3. It worked
under Gutsy for me, but now keep makes backups every hour.
According to http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=32984 the
hour-bug should be fixed with version 0.4, but it isnot.
Maybe it was re-introduced ?

No, the problem isn't completly solved, at least not for me. I had
'Keep' already installed under feisty and it run every hour and after
login. A week ago I upgraded to gutsy, with the hope, that this problem
might be fixed. But still 'Keep' shows the same erroneous behaviour.

I confirm.
In my case the story is slightly more complicated: I had this problem in
Edgy, after upgrading to Feisty the problem disappeared until June 6,
2007 (did upgrade of some packages happened on this day?) when it came
back.
