Unfortunately not. I tested it with a number of different feed URLs but
they all produce the same behavior (as far as I can see).

The latest version crashes again when attempting to view items with the
embedded viewer. I attached the log generated by "liferea --debug-net
--debug-verbose", although I get an error message that says "Liferea
encountered an unknown argument: --debug-net".
Thanks again, Fred

Hello again!
Can you please test again the liferea and liferea-mozilla from
http://emilio.pozuelo.org/deb/
The actual fix breaks the auto-load-link in external browser feature, so we are
working in fix your crash without breaking it.
Thanks

Hi Fred
Please, reinstall liferea and liferea-mozilla again with the packages in
http://emilio.pozuelo.org/deb/ and test. I think they fix your issue! It
seems that a change in mozilla/mozembed.c caused this.
And let me know if they fixes your issue :)

Hello Fred!
Please, install the liferea and liferea-mozilla packages from
http://emilio.pozuelo.org/deb/ and run liferea with the following command:
liferea --debug-net --debug-verbose > liferea-net.log
Then crash liferea and attach the resulting file liferea-net.log
Thanks again for your testi
Hi Fred!
The reason for a Valgrind log is because liferea can have memory
corruptions, but that's not your problem. It should be fixed (if there
are such corruptions) in liferea.
Thanks for the log

Here's the result, hope it helps.
I don't know how to interpret it, but could you please tell me if it
indicates some hardware problem for me. I hope not, I can't afford to
fix it!

That command runs fine, but doesn't log the output to liferea-

This works fine:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/firefox/ valgrind --log-file=liferea-valgrind.log
liferea-bin
Then, attach liferea-valgrind.log
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, sorry, the command should look like this:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/firefox/ valgrind liferea-bin > liferea-valgrind.log
Thanks for your testing.

Thanks for testing it.
Can you please run liferea under valgrind? The problem can be a memory
corruption, so we need it to detect it.
To do it, install valgrind from the repositories, and run:
valgrind liferea | liferea-valgrind.log
And then attach the file liferea-valgrind.log
Note that running
I've added a patch by Lars (the liferea developer) to fix this.
Please, test the liferea_1.2.10b-0ubuntu2.deb and
liferea-mozilla_1.2.10b-0ubuntu2.deb from http://emilio.pozuelo.org/deb/
And report if solves the issue

This happens with any feed that I set to display the whole page in the
liferea window.
I hope I am attaching the right file...
Thanks, Fred

No, that's not the problem. You have 1.2.10b.
Does this happen always with the same feed, or with every one?
Can you please report a full crash?
Thanks

I deleted the .liferea_1.2 dir, then re-imported my feeds. Same thing
happens. Maybe this has something to do with it: when I choose "about"

Still seems to be broken with the new version.
For example, try subscribing to

and checking "Auto-load item link in internal browser..."
