wesnoth-1.8 was removed from wheezy, so I removed it from precise since
the given reason seemed reasonable for us too without noticing this bug.
If you think it should be in precise after all, please reupload it
quickly with a newer version number and accept my apologies, and I'll
process it back t
I'm going to make the call here and say that we can keep both in
precise. We certainly cannot guarantee that all software in the archive
will be supported for the lifetime of the release. With Wesnoth, as
Gerfried said, there are people who would like to continue to play 1.8
for the time being.
One reason is that people can finish their campaigns that they started
in 1.8 before they do the upgrade to 1.10 - but still can upgrade their
ubuntu system without troubles. Also, the 1.8 stable tree is still
supported upstream, some people are still playing it, and it is not
possible to play mult

Well, you have the answer in the posting you're referencing:
"1.10 was just released not too long ago. Many people still play 1.8 (there is
a multiplayer setting), so offering both versions seems reasonable."
