Gunnar, I am afraid that I cannot provide any additionsl details. I ran update-manager -d and after that the described problem appeared. Funny thing that is I did not logout normally, but reatarted lightdm it was OK. Now it is fixed by adding Russian keyboard layout again from welcome screen. -
