I get this as well. When I open up xfce4-terminal, it works just fine,
but if I open a new tab in the terminal . . . That tab remains blank
(all black) unless I switch back to the original tab, and then switch
one more time back to the new tab.
As soon as I switch back to the new tab, the termin
P.S. I have an nvidia on-board graphics card on an AMD64 computer,
running Xubuntu Feisty Fawn (03/28/2007).

It happened to me as well with the nvidia driver. I can't reproduce any
more since ~2 days though.
