I did not play with Unity options and I have the same problem on my HP
Pavilion dm1 netbook since the update to Unity 5.8: flickering screen.
Very unpleasant, not usable.

Doing unity --reset solved my issues with flickering - but after doing that I
realized that I may have lost some useful information for debugging.
Anyway, I have played a little with unity options in ccsm during 12.04 testing,
so my unity configuration was certainly not stock and the problem cou
