Definitely affects Unity.
I can't see any of the icons on my desktop. They always show up at (0,
0), which is outside both of my monitors. Here's my configuration (from
xrandr):
LVDS1 connected 1366x768+0+1213 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
293mm x 164mm
DP1 connected 2560x1600+1366+
They do get lost offscreen, even if I arrange icons by name.
If I create some files with "right click -> Create new document ->
[anything]", they are visible _unitl_ I arrange icons by name again.
If I set the same resolution for both displays or "mirror" them,
everything's fine. But if I change th

My guess is that the other icons got lost offscreen.
