The problem is with WPA/WPA2. All is fine using WEP
+ Using module bcm43xx works but slow, very slow, near 150kbps (my bandwidth is
4mbps)
+ Using ndiswrapper is erratic.
Same thing with my laptop

A fresh install of Feisty. Did some upgrades to 2.6.20-15-generic #2 SMP
After configuring ndiswrapper I was able to connect to my AP once. Uses
WPA-PSK. No longer able to but I can see other networks in my area.

No it can't because it doesn't work anywhere near as well as it should.
Mine might connect after a good 20+ attempts to connect. I've installed
wpa_gui and it always fails at the GROUP_HANDSHAKE stage.

My wireless card is showing the access points, but will not connect. In
Edgy, I used the RT73 driver and wireless worked fine.

I've got a feeling that this might be more to do with wpa_supplicant.
Also, and I don't know how relevant this is, when I downloaded 2.6.20-10
I noticed I suddenly had the restricted drivers manager package. I'm
just throwing a few ideas as to what changed at the time network-manager
stopped worki

I can confirm that this has been the case since 2.6.20-10. For the time
being I have changed to wicd to connect my wireless and that works fine.
I have 2.6.20-13 running at the moment. This really should be elevated
to critical as it will seriously affect the uptake of 7.04
