The network environment is exactly the same as before i even have a Ubuntu 10 next to me, running kernel 2.6.35-32 with the same configuration and working! Attached you can find the log of the connection, on the firewall side i can see the vpn trying to connect but failing on XAuth after 5 retries

I can't think of a reason why this wouldn't work. Has anything else changed in the environment? Are you now trying this behind a firewall that wasn't there before? For better chances of resolving this, you should attach logs from vpnc, preferably debugging logs. You can achieve this easily by star
