Sorry, the bug is actually xorg related. I noticed that xorg detects the lcd panel size as 1024x768, but uses 800x600, refusing to try 1024x768 because of 'bad mode clock/interlace/doublescan'. I suppose installer functionality at 800x600 is not important. I'll try to close/withdraw this bug. -
