I opened this bug almost 2 years ago, and I see that the ati driver now
works with 3d on my G5. Bug almost closed.
In fact, it may have worked for a long time now. But I didn't know. The
last comments did let me find a solution. I didn't have X11 crash at
startup with Feisty and Gutsy, but a blank

I was able to work around this bug on a 1.25Ghz eMac (USB2.0) with
onboard ATI Radeon 9200 under intrepid by adding the option "monitor-
DVI-0" to the device section of xorg.conf as documented here:

To find out the name of the connection, boot
