Just confirming brendan's observations. This behaviour has been seen with Precise Alpha 2 on both the M610 and R715 systems. I have attached an apport report dump from one of hte affected systems, the R715. Unfortunately, Brendan tried apport-collect on the M610 and I tried on the R715 and apport
