v3.3 kernel[1]. This test will tell us if the bug is already fixed

Just confirming brendan's observations. This behaviour has been seen
with Precise Alpha 2 on both the M610 and R715 systems. I have attached
an apport report dump from one of hte affected systems, the R715.
