This is a PPA related issue and doesn't affect official ubuntu packages.
It is caused by running dconf 0.10.x with glib 2.31.x. Upgrading to
dconf 0.11.x solves this issue.

This bug is related to the GNOME3-Team PPA, the only way to fix it is a fresh
install...
or a hellofolot of apt-kung-fu, You will have to pure everything that has to do
with that PPA.
