$ cd /var/lib/apt
$ sudo mv lists lists.old
$ sudo mkdir -p lists/partial
$ sudo apt-get update
This will rebuild the cache.
Another question: Are you behind a proxy-server?

This one could also be one of APTs hard-to-handle broken cache issues. If
extras-keyring people say that everything is okay, I can give you some commands
to fix your cache.
(If this does not work, I don't have any idea anymore :P)

Is the package "ubuntu-extras-keyring" installed? There has to be something
wrong on your machine, because I don't get this error. (and everyone would have
it, if it was a server-side broken signature)
Maybe the extras-keyring maintainers know more. Please don't install a package
from extras unt
