I managed to fix the problem. The IMAP server I used was configured to
store the message index in memory. Now I set it to store indexes on the
disk, and the problem disappeared. This bug report should probably be
closed.

Yes, the bug is still there with the latest Feisty update, however, it
might be the problem of the imap server I use. Anyway, my kmail version
is 3.5.6-0ubuntu6. (The server is sarge's dovecot, version
0.99.14-1sarge0, just in case somebody else has a chance to confirm
this)

Cool image, however I cannot reproduce this. Are you still experiencing
this issue? If so what version are you using? Is this issue in the
latest updates in the stable release of Feisty as well?
