The only solution to make microphone work is to install linux-backports-
modules-alsa-generic...
Just go to:
Menu / System / Administration / Synaptic Package Manager
And search and mark for installation:
linux-backports-modules-alsa-generic
tip: if you have multiple versions click on the firs
Why do you choose the longest path which need CPU and add delay ?

You are speaking about a lot of things that are totally unknown to me.
To make simple and basic sound management with Pulseaudio a user has to be
professional in sound engineering. WHY?
Alsa makes everything a user needs, without to be a sound engineer.

There is no point to activate loop-back module, just make sure PA server
don't touch "Line Playback Volume" and "Line Playback Switch" when you
change the input profile
There is no delay when you are using the analog mixer of the codec.

To fix my problem I removed Pulseaudio and now my sound card is working
like a charm.
Definitively Pulseaudio is a ballast for the pc and it doesn't give any
advantage, only headaches.
I think that Ubuntu must left to the user the choice to use or not
Pulseaudio, also some packages like indicator
