Sorry for the delay. I thought the install had gotten farther before. I'd tried installing Dapper, Edgy, and Feisty, and each one had some sort of install problem. Feisty's install (this time, at least) hangs up while showing this message: Loading module 'aec62xx' for 'IDE chipset support'... I

It's hard to say. You can boot the live CD with 600M, but the installer freezes. If you get past the install, then boot freezes. When the installer has frozen, however, the rest of the system is okay. Only the installer is locked up. -- Feisty won't boot under Parallels if VM has more than 59
