Well, unfortunately it seems that indicator-weather was dropped from the
repos after Precise (http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords
=indicator-weather). Given that Lubuntu support for Precise ended a
while back (it's not an LTS, but an 18 month support cycle

I can add I installed indicator-weather on Lubuntu 12.04 and the
temperature does not appear on the panel.

I installed indicator-weather package.
When I click on the menu Weather Indicator in Accessories nothing happens.
Aslo, when I try to add it to panel by clicking Add/Remove panel items--->Panel
Applets---> there is no listing of this indicatior.
When I select Indicator applets, it shows no indica
