I can confirm that this is fixed in Precise.
Try:
grep wiimote $(which bluetoothd)
if it gives back:
Binary file /usr/sbin/bluetoothd matches
Bluez has wiimote support.

Now the problem is that not all
I am not sure this is fixed - wiimote.so is still nowhere to be found on
my up-to-date Precise system.

For oneiric there is a discrepancy with the changelog:
bluez (4.96-1) unstable; urgency=low

That should be fixed (removing the wiimote feature from the changelog or
recompiling with --enable-wiimote) for Oneiric.
